Greg turned his head toward Justin, their faces only

inches apart, and said quietly, “Is that another pick-up line,

or do you actually want to know?”

Justin laughed and pressed his forehead to Greg’s. “I

actually want to know, but if it gets me a piece of ass too, I’m

not gonna argue,” he whispered.

Greg opened his mouth to respond, but before he got

anything out, a high-pitched noise came from Annalise’s end

of the table. They turned to see her grinning wildly, flailing

both hands at her face. “Oh, my God, you guys are so cute

together!” she squealed. Greg glanced over at Halia and saw

the same starry-eyed smile on her face.

“Jesus,” he muttered. “Okay, we get it,” he said to

Annalise with a sigh.

“And besides, we’re really not that cute,” Justin added,

diffusing Greg’s annoyance somewhat.

At the same time, they looked around the table at Cody,

Darren, and Zak, all of whom also had amused smiles on

their faces. “What?” Justin demanded.

Darren sighed, and said, “Sorry, dude. I hate to have to

tell you, but you guys are pretty freakin’ cute.”

Justin and Greg groaned and the girls erupted in a fit of

giggles. “Okay, I think we’re going to head out. I’m done

being cute for the night,” Greg said with mock irritation. He

picked up the check, but Justin snatched it from his hands.

“I got it,” he said.

“You don’t have to—” Greg began, but Justin waved him

off.
